I have to admit that I really procrastinated on this evening. I’m not late, but I definitely put this off to be the last thing to do.
Why? I think the uncertainty of the process and result. I had plenty of chores that I knew how to do, how long it would take, and what the result would be. The creativity of writing game content, though, all feeds into the writer’s block.
But this is exactly why I’m doing this Advent of Dungeons: I need to prove to myself that it isn’t that scary, and I can just sit down and do it.
My Day 9 Content
Today’s prompt is MAGIC ARROW. Rather than just making a magic item, I want to make a quest out of it.
Scene 1: The party is on guard duty and fights off some creatures when a merchant is killed by a magic, homing arrow out of nowhere
Scene 2: On further analysis of the arrow, the party gets a lead to a blacksmith who should know more
Scene 3: The blacksmith makes a run for it, but when they catch and question him, he tells them he got paid a lot of money for it by an outsider staying on the edge of town
Scene 4: When confronted, the outsider reveals himself to be an assassin who enshrouds the entire area in fog to fight
Scene 5: Upon searching his body, the party finds a lot of coin and instructions from a patron
So what’s Day 10?
Tomorrow’s prompt is FORGETFUL
